Dear Extroverts,

~An open letter to all our beloved extroverted counterparts from us, the quiet introverts~

DEAR EXTROVERTS,

First things first, we love you people and there are times, when we envy you too… After all, the grass always appears greener on the other side of the hill, right?

More than often, you won’t find us chilling and partying hard at “huge happening gatherings“ and even if we are present over there due to social commitments, we are most likely to go unnoticed sitting at a secure corner away from the limelight.

We apper to be arrogant, self-centered, “anti-social” and what not! Why? Just because we aren’t chatty and frisky and garrulous? Just because our energy gets drained where yours is recharged? Do we really deserve to be judged and tagged with an attitude actually alien to us? Just because that’s what is apparent in front of you?

I was born an introvert and I’ll die as one and know what’s the best part? I love it that way! ❤ I was curated by my God to look inwards and I’m perfectly alright with it 🙂 Certainly, I was never a garrulous kid! But, with time, I admit it without any shame that I have become a little cynic... The mere thought of what assumptions and baked stories can be formed on the basis of my words is dreary enough to enforce a smiling silence!

My eyes see right through pretense into truth, the truth my heart craves for! Definitely, huge gatherings leave me fatigued– I tend to look into the real side of “picture perfect” families and the “BFFs scene.” I speak less? Why? (These are my personal reasons and may not actually apply on certain groups of people🙃)

•Because I can’t lie!

•Because I can’t gossip!

•Because I can’t fake my emotions!

•Because I don’t know if you’ll be one of those 1% who even care!

•BECAUSE I AM AN INTROVERT AND TALKING TOO MUCH ISN’T MY THING!

Don’t judge my emotional structure, my intellect or my opinions just because I’m not an extrovert. Well, I am an introvert for sure and that does not stop me from being opinionated! You think I don’t speak at all?

In my case, public speaking is both my hobby and my passion and I actively participate in speech competitions, declamations and debates with all my capacity! If I had no opinions, no voice, had I been shy or timid, I wouldn’t have been blogging for almost a year now! Plain math, folks! Photography is another field that finds expression of my thoughts! ✒📷🗣

For me, introspection ignites the fire of discovery and learning in my heart and provides an impetus to my mission of doing good, of spreading smiles and of making this world better!💙 And it has also taught me to respect those who are different from me- An accurate example would be my respect and admiration towards extroverts!

If I am chatty or not, if I crack lame jokes or not, if I don’t laugh out loud like fools or not… For that, contact “My People”, the ones who possess my hard earned trust, those who keep heralding my joints to worldly affairs! And believe me when I say it, if you take the pain of initiating the conversation… I’ll try my best to make it a happy and merry one! I’m a sucker for deep conversations but, here and there, my art of having light and fun talks is also subtly good, I guess!

So, dear beloved extroverts, if you really want to know THE TRUE US, set yourself free of the prejudices against us and try to explore the hidden deep layers of our personality with care and friendly attitude. WE’LL MAKE GREAT FRIENDS, I PROMISE!We may run away from parties and conversations and we certainly will! But, hope you bear with us, with the respect due to us! And ya, we’ll deal with whatever hardships come to our way because of being who we are- You need not worry about that 😉

My fellow introverts, we are in it, together! And are amazing the way we are! So, always be true to yourselves💛
